In mid-2015, Shazam released the highly anticipated 8th version of the app, which enabled fans to share in the thrill of music discovery with the artists they love.
The release gave Shazam’s 120 million fans a unique view into the moments when the world’s biggest hitmakers discover music that inspires them - our biggest feature launch to date.
I was commissioned to lead & develop the creative; working closely with Shazam’s executive team to define and refine the way we marketed the biggest artists in the world - from Calvin Harris to One Direction and Coldplay.
Following the initial ideation & strategy phase, I envisioned and crafted several sub brands for discussion, before settling on our final creative - powerful hero imagery contrasted with Shazam’s all-new vibrant color palette. The identity ran across product, social, TV, broadcast, editorial and more.
Our apps were developed in tandem, promoting the biggest artists as they became verified and enabling Shazamers easy access to follow them.
